We Build Together is a public benefit corporation in formation, operating six initiatives at county, regional, and national scale. We do not export. We do not solve America. We work alongside the institutions and people already doing this work, providing operational systems and shared standards so the work can continue regardless of administration or funding cycle.
What we are, and what we are not.
We are a public-benefit institution. Our initiatives are in formation; their intended legal forms are pending counsel confirmation. We operate six initiatives across food coordination, forest restoration, emergency mutual aid, healthcare access, civic continuity, and skilled trades workforce. Each initiative is being structured in the operational form most suited to its work. Each is being designed with adversarial board composition and transparent operating methodology.
We do not solicit donations. We are not an advocacy organization fighting for change. We are not a consultancy selling solutions. We are not a movement claiming to know what America needs. We are an institution operating systems alongside the people doing the work, in service of communities here at home.
Six operational forms. Six kinds of work.
Each initiative is being structured around the operational form best suited to its work. Cooperatives for member-owned coordination. Trusts for fiduciary stewardship. A Reserve for standing capacity. An Exchange for matching infrastructure. The form is not branding. It is structural commitment.
- 01The Provisions Cooperative
Food coordination across regional cold-chain, gleaning, and pantry networks. Intended to be member-owned by participating producers and buyers.
- 02The Restoration Trust
Survival-monitored restoration on US public and tribal lands. Intended to be structured as a public-benefit trust, pending counsel confirmation, working with credentialed restoration partners.
- 03The Neighbor Reserve
Community-level mutual aid for emergency response. Intended to be structured with a federated chapter pattern organized at county scale.
- 04The Care Exchange
Healthcare access coordination for rural and underserved communities. Intended to operate as matching infrastructure between standby clinical capacity and unmet demand.
- 05The Civic Trust
Operating infrastructure for volunteer fire, election administration, long-term disaster recovery, and civic information. Intended to be structured as a public-benefit trust with a nonpartisanship covenant, pending counsel confirmation.
- 06The Trades Cooperative
Apprenticeship, credential portability, and employer-sponsor matching for the skilled trades and direct-care workforce. Intended to be member-owned by participating employers and alumni.
Three principles, durable.
Operational sovereignty
Each initiative is being designed to survive the loss of any single funder, partner, or administration. Federated chapter structures, diversified funding, and mission codification in governing documents provide structural durability across political cycles.
Methodology over marketing
Every operational claim we will make is intended to be grounded in a published methodology. Restored acres, households served, maternity deserts reduced, each measured against a named methodology with version history and an audit process.
The work is local
We do not operate at the scale of national rhetoric. The Provisions Cooperative is intended to serve regional producer-buyer relationships. The Neighbor Reserve is intended to organize at county scale. The Civic Trust is intended to operate inside the local institutions that absorb shocks. The institution is national. The work is local.

We Build Together's initiatives will run on Build Together's technology platform, fourteen reusable primitives that handle intake, routing, verification, lifecycle tracking, geographic mapping, workforce coordination, logistics, case management, multi-party agreements, situational reporting, annual public reporting, methodology documentation, and field operations. The platform is shared infrastructure. The initiatives are the operating entities that will use it.
